This week, we were excited to learn that Nextpoint was featured in Built In Chicago’s list of 50 Best Small Companies to Work For in 2022. Built In is a leading resource for insights on Chicago’s tech sphere. Each year, they compile data on salary, benefits and culture to determine the best tech companies to work for in Chicago. Since 2001, we’ve strived to create a high-performance environment that promotes a healthy work-life balance and fosters close team relationships as well as individual growth. This recent recognition by Built In Chicago highlights that we are succeeding in our goal.
A Culture of Innovation and Transparency
“I’m only a 100-day veteran, but I feel like I was given the tools to succeed at Nextpoint from day one,” says Lynne Atkins, graphic/digital designer. “The support and opportunities for professional growth are unmatched. I feel like my opinions are listened to and valued.”
That sentiment is exactly what we aim for. “Each employee owns the success of our business,” says Rakesh Madhava, founder and CEO of Nextpoint. “We encourage autonomy and creative freedom for individuals to enact change and develop great ideas.”
At the same time, we’re a close knit team that thrives on open and honest communication. Our employees feel comfortable taking chances, putting forth big ideas, making mistakes and learning from them. This is the foundation of all Nextpoint innovation – a team full of people who trust, inspire, and challenge one another. (And, of course, have fun together!)
Committed to Our People and Our World Community
In addition to premium health benefits & perks, we walk the walk when it comes to our unmatched flexibility. We offer flex-time, remote work, open vacations, sabbaticals, continuing ed, and more.
“If our employees can make it work, it works for us,” says Katy Herforth, Director of People Operations. “We want to make sure everyone has the proper work-life balance that allows them to remain creative and productive without being overextended.”
Still, our employees enjoy coming into the office – with free in-office lunch every day, a stocked kitchen and bar, and regular happy hours, it’s a pretty fun place to be. “I love being able to wind down the week and share a cocktail with my coworkers at 5PM on Fridays,” Lynne says.
A passionate, driven team leads to a growing business. As we grow, so does our need for more talented employees who are ready to bring their ideas to the table. If that sounds like you, check out the links below to learn more about the roles we’re looking for.
