Alex Moy brings over two decades of product leadership, including nearly eight years driving RelativityOne’s cloud transformation, to Nextpoint, the legal tech company committed to making ediscovery simple, purposeful, and effortless.
CHICAGO, JANUARY 12, 2026 — Nextpoint, the leader in cloud-native ediscovery and litigation software since 2001, is excited to announce that Alex Moy has joined the company as Vice President of Product. He will lead product strategy and development as Nextpoint advances its next generation of AI-powered tools throughout the platform. In addition to ediscovery, Nextpoint delivers a comprehensive ecosystem of case building tools that accelerate legal processes from identification through presentation.
Moy’s career spans more than 20 years across product management, marketing, and engineering at companies including Relativity, Gogo, Qualcomm, U.S. Cellular, and Motorola. At Relativity, he played a pivotal role in developing RelativityOne into a market-leading, cloud-based SaaS ediscovery platform, leading teams of up to 17 people responsible for product strategy across 190 engineers globally. He also led the product launch for Relativity’s first generative AI solution, achieving market leader position in the public sector segment. Earlier in his career at Qualcomm, Moy led discovery and prototyping for novel “wake word” technology that became the core enabler for Google’s first “OK Google” feature on Android devices.
“What attracted me to Nextpoint is how clearly they’ve defined the problem they’re solving,” Moy said. “The legal tech industry has largely built for the most complex 10% of cases, which leaves a massive gap for the other 90%. Nextpoint is committed to serving that 90% exceptionally well, and I think there’s real power in saying no to complexity when simpler actually serves the customer better.”
Moy continued:
“We’re at an inflection point where AI can fundamentally change how legal work gets done. The challenge isn’t the technology anymore; it’s designing products that fit how lawyers actually work and building AI they can truly trust. Get that right and you don’t just improve legal workflows, you democratize access to justice. That’s a product problem I find incredibly compelling.”
Moy holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, an MS in Computer Science from Illinois Institute of Technology, and a BS in Computer Engineering from Case Western Reserve University. Based in Park Ridge, IL, he also mentors startup founders at 1871, Chicago’s premier technology incubator.
“What stood out during the interview process was the team’s readiness and appetite for what’s next,” Moy said. “In every conversation I had, people were genuinely excited about evolving how they work, what they build, and how Nextpoint scales its impact. That energy is rare and powerful. When a team is ready to grow, that’s when you can do your best work as a product leader.”
Moy’s product philosophy centers on the belief that the best products deliver workflows that are purposeful, simple, and effortless, not bloated feature catalogs. “Knowing what not to build can be more valuable than what you ship,” he said.
Looking ahead, Moy shared his vision for Nextpoint:
“I expect our roadmap to be ambitious, especially around AI, with a philosophy grounded in purposeful, simple, and effortless workflows. If you’re excited about that vision, whether as a customer, partner, or team member, let’s connect.”
Nextpoint is energized by what lies ahead for the company and the legal tech industry. With Moy’s proven ability to develop leaders and build high-performing teams, something he considers his proudest career accomplishment, Nextpoint is well-positioned to accelerate its product vision and continue attracting top talent as the company writes its next chapter.
