Today, we launched a new tool that makes it easier for users to analyze spreadsheet files in Nextpoint. See below for a preview of what’s included.
Native Spreadsheet Viewer
In general, spreadsheets can be difficult to view outside their native application (such as Excel). And unlike most ESI, they don’t image well when imported into ediscovery databases. Before this new feature, our users would often have to download spreadsheets, view them in their native platform, then return to Nextpoint to make coding decisions.
Not anymore! We created a native spreadsheet viewer that allows all spreadsheet analysis to stay in the Nextpoint platform. “Native view mode” in the document viewer will emulate the appearance and functionality of an Excel spreadsheet. Users can zoom, wrap text, search cell contents, view associated formulas, and filter and sort columns and rows.
Additionally, any hidden cells in the spreadsheet will be automatically unhidden when the file is imported. This ensures that legal teams don’t overlook hidden cells and accidentally miss relevant information.
